Sensors for Medicine and Science®
has developed a "phase based" SIM board (Sensor Interface
Module) to operate in conjunction with its miniature
fast response Oxygen Sensor.
The Sensor Interface Module (SM 101-02)
implements a microcontroller-based platform to provide
a turnkey solution for reading the SM 100-O2 oxygen
sensor. A patent-pending hardware and readout algorithm
has been developed to measure the fluorescent lifetime
of the oxygen sensor. This interface solution measures
the sensor’s oxygen dependent fluorescent phase
delay, which has a high level of noise immunity as well
as proven stability.
Advantages of the SIM Module include low
cost signal processing, stable calibration and easy
integration into a wide variety of potential applications.
The SIM Module and Fast Response Oxygen Sensor are available
for sale in OEM quantities for custom applications.
